Let’s talk Mashed Potatoes
In fact let’s talk my favourite mashed potatoes
A few months back Helen discovered some potatoes that were really good; not as artery clogging but creamy, smooth, delicious and potatoey.
Best part is they are easy to make, you complete the job in minutes and have only 1 pot to clean up.
These are Idaho Potatoes, from Idaho, Packaged by a Company owned by Idaho potato farmers, and are available in a number of countries.
Technically they could be called instant potatoes but they are so superior to any that you have tasted. It would be doing the world a disservice to refer to them by that name. I prefer “Packaged Fresh Potatoes”
Watch Grandpa unbox, and cook some up.
A Bit About Idaho Potatoes
The best tasting potatoes in the world come from Idaho, a constant supply of pure water from mountain snow melt and loose nutrient-rich volcanic soil allow potatoes to grow with proper drainage. This helps deliver the highest amount of solids per yield. Idaho also has the ideal climate for growing potatoes to full maturity, delivering a full balance of flavour in each one.
Honest Earth is part of Idahoan Food Company. A company that specializes in potatoes and has been in business since 1960.
Do yourself a favour. Watch the video to see how easy they are to make, and how good they look. Then try some.

Why do I say these are my favourite mashed potato?
- Taste delicious. Buttery, creamy, the great Idaho potato taste.
- Easy to prepare: no peeling, not long boil time, no draining
- Quick. Basically boil boil water and butter, add milk, add potato, mix, cover and wait TEN, that's 10 seconds, eat.
- Natural, no add-ons, no preservatives. Just Potato, butter, sea salt, and the butter and milk you add*
- My Grandson Josh, who loves potatoes and eats bowls of them said that "These are great, better than picking potatoes from Auntie Tara's garden and cooking right on the spot.

I have a workmate who shops at Costco. He bought some of these potatoes based on your video. His family loved them. He was nice enough to give me a couple of bags. They were great. I'm not a Costco member but next time he goes, he will be picking me up a box.
ReplyDeleteGlad Your video caught his attention.
