Grind Your Own Beef for Great Hamburger

Can't Beat a Great Burger
Getting an unboxing and review video prepared for the Aldi Ambiano Meat Grinder. Last night we had a couple of porterhouse steaks out for dinner.
They were pretty big so we decided to just share one. The other I ground up as part of the review. Helen and I had one heck of a nice hamburger for lunch.

Grinding Your Own is Healthy

When you buy mince from the supermarket you are getting meat that is a lesser quality than you would grind on your own
Plus if you take a slice of beef and grind it you can be sure you are getting the meat from just one animal. But is in the supermarket and you could be eating a meat that hast bits and pieces from multiple animals.

Safer From Bacteria
Have you ever noticed that the safe internal temperature for a hamburger is higher than the temperature for a steak.
This is because The bacteria from meat is normally on the outside. When the meat is ground, the bacteria, is mixed throughout, In addition there is more exposed surface are so more exposure to bacteria.

Much Less Gristle
Less of those annoying rubbery tasteless bits that get stuck between your teeth. Gristle comes from the silver-skin in the meat.
It doesn't melt and cooking it just makes if rubbery.
When you have your own grinder you can remove it before grinding.

The porterhouse was on special. I paid less fro the steak than I would have for an equal amount of mince
